Ahmedabad Defenders Rupee tops Rupee Prime Volleyball League

Hyderabad: Ahmedabad Defenders Rupee topped the Prime Volleyball League by defeating Kochi Blue Spykers by three sets to two.
Gujarat won the match 15-14, 15-14, 11-15, 14-15, 15-10 at the Gatchibauli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad on Tuesday. Defenders’ Sean T. John became the star of the game. Kochi Blue Spykers lost the semi-final. Kochi will take on Kolkata Thunderbolts in the final of the league on Wednesday.
The Defenders, who have won five of their last six games, are top of the league with 10 points. Calicut Heroes, Hyderabad Black Hawks and Kolkata Thunderbolts also qualified for the semi-finals.
