Thus, “Kåffa” continues without a win on its own turf in the Eliteserien. The Oslo club moved up to the top flight for the first time last season, and stand on four draws and three defeats at home this season.
Petter Nosa Dahl put YMCA ahead after 22 minutes, before Sander Svendsen and Harald Nilsen Tangen turned the game around in the final minutes.
Therefore, Viking climbs to 4th place in the table, two points behind Molde in bronze place.
However, YMCA got off to a great start to the game when Nosa Dahl drove onto the pitch, went past Sondre Bjørshol and struck the ball into the far corner after just over 20 minutes.
– It was a nice goal, but I was more likely that I should have taken. I hope to get the second goal in the second half, said Nosa Dahl to TV 2 during the break.
Tripic damage
And although the “Kåffa” players were trying to get the score 1-0, things went from bad to worse for the Viking when captain Zlatko Tripic got a knock on the return run and had to be replaced.
– It’s too early to say (how serious it is), but I felt a bite when I took the long return. It doesn’t necessarily mean it’s something very serious,” Tripic told the rights holder, continuing:
– I felt it dropped a bit and I’m very stiff there now, so for the sake of safety there’s no sense in taking chances.
During the break, Viljar Vevatne was also replaced in favor of Jost Urbancic in the Vikings’ defensive line.
Keeper
It didn’t have an immediate effect, but the Vikings controlled most of the game and managed to create some chances later in the half.
With 20 minutes left on the clock, Nosa Dahl had to tackle the field after a small drop. Obilor Okeke came in.
Unfortunately for YMCA, Sander Svendsens continued the Oslo club’s home winless streak when he scored to make it 1-1 with nine minutes left on the clock.
The shot went through YMCA goalkeeper Emil Ødegaard, who pushed the ball into his own net.
– It must be said that Ødegaard, TV 2 commentator Endre Lübeck, is a small goalkeeping mistake.
Four minutes later, Nilsen Tangen completed the turnaround when he headed the ball past Ødegaard.
