Earlier this year, it was announced that Knut Slatlem is stepping down as assistant coach at Brann after the last game before the summer break, and is moving home to Eastern Norway. He will then start as sports director with Ski IL Football.

– Knut was a very good supporter and coach during his time here. He was loyal and hardworking, both in the hard times and the good times. We want to thank him for the work he has done, and wish him all the best in establishing a new stage in his life and in his new job, says the sports director, Aleksander Olsen.

Goalkeeper coach Håvard Smedsgård also gives himself up in Brann, and returns to his job as a teacher. Smedsgård was hired just before the 2023 season.

– Håvard was on the same journey as Knut, through the ups and downs, and he remained firm and faithful to the changes and changes that happened along the way. He worked consistently, systematically and well with our best goalkeeper, and was a steady and reliable person. Now he wants to go back to the teaching job he took on leave from when he started with us, and we wish him the best of luck. Hopefully he will return to football later, says Olsen.

Sports club Brann would like to thank both of them for their efforts in Brann, and wish them every success in the future.

A new goalkeeping coach will be announced in the near future, and in this process internal recruitment of a talented goalkeeping coach has been arranged.

Brann is also in the final race when it comes to agreeing on a new assistant coach. This will also be made public before too long.
