Israel, like the rest of the world, is also affected by the changing trends in consumer behavior and the increase in online purchases. As part of FedEx Express’ effort to continue to operate growing volumes of packages, the company established the new center in the industrial area of Kiryat Ata, which will replace the center in which they have operated in the area to this day.
The new center, which covers an area of 3,000 square meters, was established with an investment of NIS 36 million. Tens of thousands of packages will be handled weekly, which constitutes about 30% of all FedEx Express operations in Israel. In addition, the center includes technological innovations and advanced infrastructure that emphasize the safety of staff members, operational activities, streamlining distribution processes to customers and providing exceptional customer service.
The new center in Kiryat Ata is the company’s latest investment in Israel, following the opening of another new operating facility at Ben Gurion Airport in 2021.
