Daniel Rangel talks about ‘Family is everything’ and an eight-year relationship with actress Hanna Romanazzi

At the age of 28, Daniel Rangel says he has a special moment in his career when he plays an introspective Guto in “Família é tudo”, a 7pm soap opera on Globo.

— Guto is shy and withdrawn, very different from me. It’s great, I was very happy when I received the official invitation.

He points out that this is his first comedic role on television:

— It’s a terrain I haven’t explored yet in audio-visual matters. I had already done comedy dramas, but it was my first time on TV. I am very happy to show this new series and open up a range of possibilities for me as an actor. I feel very supported by my scene partners, who are experts at this. I’m learning a lot from them, especially Grace Gianoukas and Gabriel Godoy, who are comedic geniuses.

The actor talks about the new phase of the character, after the help of Júpiter (Thiago Martins) so that he can win over Lupita (Daphne Bozaski).

— It is a challenge for Guto and me as an actor, because he started very closed in his small life, in his comfort zone. But, when he falls in love, he has to leave that comfort zone to win that love. It’s really cool to get to know Guto’s new layers with the community. When the script comes, I read the scenes and think, “I didn’t imagine that.” The good thing about open work is that we discover it together — says the actor, who celebrates the support of his character to announce himself to Lupita and for them to be happy together.

Daniel has recorded many shirtless scenes and says he doesn’t mind appearing that way on screen:

– I see everything lightly. I find the scenes that show a more sensual side interesting, Lupita showing another side of Guto. It’s an attempt to look a little more like Jupiter or Chicão, who are bolder and more spontaneous. But everything is treated very lightly and with humor, which helps to soften it. I don’t feel uncomfortable in the scenes that I have already recorded and aired, or the scenes that have not been shown yet.

In real life, Daniel’s heart is also in love. Since 2016, he has been dating actress Hanna Romanazzi. The two met while working at Globo.

— Hanna is a partner I met while working, at a time when I never dreamed of meeting anyone. It’s even funny because this is similar to Guto, who also met his lover at work. Hanna and I met when I was working on a play project at Globo, where she was one of the members. I was focused on work, but we ended up together and I fell in love.

Daniel says that since then, the couple have formed a strong and inseparable bond.

— We are great partners and we exchange a lot of ideas. Hanna has been in the business since she was a child and she understands a lot, as she started before me. She helps me memorize the texts and be prepared for the scenes. It’s great to have a partner who understands so much about work. We are happy and choose ourselves every day.
