The Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenna, who is on an official visit to Pakistan, met the Commander of the Pakistan Navy, Admiral M Amjad Khan Niazi at the Pakistan Naval Headquarters yesterday.
At the invitation of the Commander of the Pakistan Navy, Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenna left for Pakistan on February 21 on an official visit.
Starting his itinerary, the Naval Commander went to the Pakistan Naval Headquarters, where he was warmly welcomed by the Pakistan Navy Commander in accordance with naval traditions.
Discussions between them focused on a number of issues of regional security and bilateral importance.
Symbols were exchanged to mark the significance of the meeting and the discussion ended smoothly.
