The Euronews website published a video interview with the vice-president of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Afgan Isayev.

As reported by Day.Az, in an interview with Euronews, Afgan Isayev talks about SOCAR’s plans and efforts aimed at transforming the company into a diversified energy leader with a balanced portfolio of hydrocarbon projects and low-carbon activities by 2035.

The company plans to take an active part in the work of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), which Azerbaijan will host in November this year, and organize events and discussions dedicated to the fight against climate change, the vice president noted.

Afgan Isayev also stressed the importance of cooperation with other national and international oil companies. He stated that through strategic partnerships and promising projects, SOCAR strives to ensure a sustainable future for the next generations.
