Los Bukis are one of the most iconic bands of Mexican grupera music. The group was founded in 1971 in the municipality of Ario de Rosales, Michoacán, Mexico, by Marco Antonio Solís and his cousin Joel Solís. From its beginnings, the band showed an exceptional talent for music, fusing elements of traditional Mexican music with contemporary styles.

During the 1980s and 1990s, Los Bukis consolidated their position as one of the most influential bands in the genre.
