The Tetouan Urban Agency announced on June 27 the publication of a decree concerning the development plan for the center of Akcour in Chefchaouen Province, after responding to all legal procedures regarding the development of the plans.
The centre of Akcour, located in the regional commune of Talambotte, has numerous natural and environmental assets, making it a tourist destination of choice at regional and national level, the agency underlined in an information note.

The site is part of the Tlessemtene National Park and receives a large influx of Moroccan and foreign tourists, therefore requiring coverage in an urban planning document that aims to take advantage of its territorial assets and organize its urban dynamics, in order to preserve the natural and environmental setting of the center.
The services of the Agency thus developed a Development Plan for the Center, in order to achieve several objectives, in particular the development of its territory, strengthening its tourist function and promoting its economic dynamism through the support of commercial activities oriented towards the marketing of local products, indicating the same source.

The objective of this urban planning document is to program public services and necessary infrastructure, meet the needs of the center for the next ten years, improve traffic, preserve forest areas and agricultural land, and create green spaces.
