Patna: Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) national president and Union minister Chirag Paswan had met Bihar CM Nitish Kumar during the Lok Sabha elections. Chirag has continued to meet Nitish even after becoming a minister at the Centre. However, Chirag’s meeting with Nitish is not a strange thing due to their being together in the NDA. It is surprising because the ice on the relationship due to the tension between the two leaders in 2020 has now started melting.
Chirag had given pain to Nitish
The 2020 assembly elections were very painful for Nitish Kumar. This pain was caused by none other than Chirag Paswan. Nitish’s party JDU had to face defeat on more than two and a half dozen seats due to Chirag’s challenges. JDU became the third largest party in Bihar with 43 MLAs. Its pain continued to rise within Nitish until JDU equaled BJP by winning 12 Lok Sabha seats.

With the support of four MPs, Chirag’s uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras became a minister at the Center. Chirag was the only MP left from his party. Nitish must have definitely felt relieved to see Chirag in this condition. Chirag was expelled from NDA under pressure from Nitish.

In this year’s Lok Sabha elections, the ice of hatred between Nitish and Chirag melted. After the ticket distribution, Chirag started visiting Nitish’s house. Chirag started improving relations by giving his party’s ticket to Shambhavi Chaudhary, daughter of Nitish’s minister Ashok Chaudhary. During that time also, he had gone to Nitish’s residence to meet him. When Chirag came on a tour to Bihar after becoming a minister, he did not forget to meet Nitish. NDA accepts Nitish’s leadership
After the results of the Lok Sabha elections, no NDA constituent party has any objection to Nitish Kumar’s leadership. However, Nitish has also repeatedly assured the BJP that he is not going to leave the NDA. In such a situation, it is natural for Chirag to get closer to Nitish.
