The following announcement was issued by the Press Office of the Municipal Faction With Power for Rhodes:
Dismissal of the Deputy Mayor of Ialyssos, Mr. Andreas Koggos, by decision of the Court.
By decision of the First Department of the Three-member Administrative Court of First Instance of Rhodes, the second objection was also accepted, now for the disqualification of the Deputy Mayor of Ialyssos, Mr. Andreas Koggos, due to the fact that the specific candidate of the Koliadis-Kalopita Combination, from 2016 and until December of 2023, he was a shareholder and manager of a company, which had concluded contracts of over 40,000 Euros with the Municipality of Rhodes, during last year’s elections. Something that is expressly prohibited.
It is pointed out that the specific candidate was second in order of preference votes, Municipal Councilor, of the combination of Mr. Koliadis and is also the second Deputy Mayor after Mr. Kalopitas, who, based on a Court Decision, did not have the right to be a candidate either.
It is now clear that this second decision also highlights the logic, philosophy and mentality of the combination of the current Municipal Authority. According to which there is no qualm, about the violation of legal and moral norms, in the face of the attempt to take power.
An “election”, which was based on candidates who, according to the two Decisions of the Greek Justice, had no right to run for office.
In any case, we will repeat, that we will not take a single step back, for the enforcement of the law, and for the restoration of the real popular will, which some consciously tried to steal, with candidates, who had no legal right to vote.
This is our clear duty, towards the citizens of Rhodes, towards the Law, towards the Justice. Against unadulterated popular verdict and choice.
