This Wednesday, Nicolás Maduro arrived in the state of Táchira to launch his campaign for re-election to the presidency, a visit that began at the border with the inauguration of La Mulata aqueduct, when most of the population that receives service from the regional aqueduct has not had water for more than a month and in some areas for more than eight years, a situation that did not change despite Maduro’s visit in the company of the president of Hidrosuroste.

Riding on a truck similar to the one used by María Corina Machado (MCM) on her tour of the Andean entity in recent days, Maduro began his tour of communities in the Pedro María Ureña Municipality. He then headed to the Bolivar Municipality, where on Venezuela Avenue he stopped to greet a small group that was waiting for him.
One of the actions that attracted the most attention due to Maduro’s visit to the Táchira border was the surprising reactivation of the La Frontera service station, located in San Antonio, which had not been functioning for almost a year, in addition to another gas station located in Ureña. But on the day the MCM visited the state, fuel was not supplied.

Unlike the days of the MCM’s visit, when the roads were closed and large gaps were opened to prevent sympathizers from welcoming him, with Maduro’s visit, in a matter of hours, the roads were painted and repaired, through which he moved with much ease.
The tour continued through the towns of Capacho, where a very small group of supporters was also waiting for them, finally reaching 11th Street in Barrio Obrero, in the city of San Cristóbal, where they only managed to fill four very narrow blocks, despite the hundreds of public transportation buses that had been mobilized from several municipalities with Psuv militants.
In the afternoon, civilians working in private companies found it difficult to return to their homes, as most public transportation units were available to transport Chavismo militants.
Likewise, the motorcycle taxi service was also very limited, since a large part of the lines of the municipalities of the metropolitan area were in the caravan that received Nicolás Maduro. It should be noted that audios circulated through WhatsApp groups in which they offered 15 liters of fuel to motorists willing to join the caravan.
