With the positive result, Vila Nova reached third place in the competition, now with 24 points. It is worth remembering that with the result, the team recorded their third win in four games. Amazonas lost its unbeaten run of three games (two draws and one win), and was stuck with 16 points in 16th place, just one above the relegation zone.
