jpnn.comJAKARTA – Manchester United’s plans to sign Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite have yet to bear fruit.

Everton have reportedly rejected United’s offer for their defender Jarrad Branthwaite.

MU offers Everton 45 million pounds or Rp. 937 billion plus 5 million pounds for Jarrad Branthwaite.

Fabrizio Romano said via his official account on X, Tuesday, Everton immediately rejected MU’s offer for Branthwaite on Monday (8/7) evening shortly after the offer came.

“Everton immediately rejected Man United’s offer for Jarred Branthwaite on Monday night, as soon as it came in,” said Romano.

The Italian journalist said the reason for Everton’s rejection was because the club nicknamed The Toffees considered Branthwaite’s quality to be similar to Josko Gvardiol, who was poached by Manchester City from RB Leipzig last season for 90 million euros or Rp. 1.59 trillion.

“£45m plus £5m in add-ons is considered a proposal well short of the asking price as Everton see Branthwaite as similar to Gvardiol and more of a top player,” added Romano.

Branthwaite impressed for Everton last season, making 41 appearances and scoring three goals. (between/jpnn)
