Bulgarian tennis players Iva Ivanova and Rositsa Dencheva qualified for the 1/8-finals of singles for girls at “Wimbledon”.

The first defeated Reina Goto from Japan 6:4, 6:2. For a place in the quarterfinals, Iva will play against the third seed and Australian Open finalist Emerson Jones (Awl). In the semi-finals in Melbourne, Ivanova lost 4:6, 1:6 precisely to the representative of the hosts.

Dencheva eliminated the 8th seed Ming Xu from Great Britain 6:3, 7:6 (3).

In the 1/8 finals, Dencheva will play against Sonya Zhenihova from Germany.

Later today, matches from the doubles tournament should also be played.

Among the juniors, Alexander Vassilev and Andreas Timini from Cyprus lead with a set (6:4) against Reda Benani from Morocco and Moise Quame from France.

For the girls, Rositsa Dencheva and Elizara Yaneva will play in the first round against the British Isabel Lacey and Hannah Klugman.
