jpnn.comDENPASAR – The Bali Province National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) has uncovered a case of possession of crystal methamphetamine using two minors as couriers in Denpasar, Bali.

Head of the Eradication Division of the Bali BNNP, Senior Commissioner I Made Sinar Subawa, said that his party had arrested ZA (41) for ordering MR and MF to take and distribute packages of narcotics in the form of crystal methamphetamine weighing 107.44 grams gross or 106.6 grams net.

ZA himself is MR’s biological father, while MF is MR’s playmate.

The incident occurred on Friday (5/7) when the Bali BNNP Eradication Team arrested two boys who were carrying a package of chocolates.

“When examined by officers and witnessed by witnesses, the brown package contained clear crystals suspected to be narcotics of the methamphetamine type weighing 107.44 grams gross or 106.6 grams net,” said Subawa.

Based on the results of the interrogation, the two men with the initials MR and MF are minors.

According to the statements of both of them, they were told to take the chocolate package by ZA, MR’s father, with the promise of Rp. 200,000 without being told what was in the package.

Based on this information, the Bali BNNP Team then carried out further investigation, so that at around 23.30 WITA, the Bali BNNP Team found ZA at his house on Jalan Kebo Iwa, Gang III, Ubung Kaja Village/Sub-district, North Denpasar District.

The interrogation results recorded that the man born in Sampang-Madura-East Java who works as a construction worker confirmed that he had ordered MF and MR to pick up goods on the side of Jalan Pura Demak Lange 1, Pemecutan Kelod Village/Subdistrict, West Denpasar District.

However, ZA did not inform MR and MF that the contents of the items he took were narcotics.

Next, ZA was taken to the Bali BNNP Office for further processing. Meanwhile, two children MR and MF have been returned to their families.

Meanwhile, suspect ZA, who acted as a courier, was charged under Article 114 Paragraph (2) or Article 112 Paragraph (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. (between/jpnn)
