He is 78 and she is 53, they have been in love for 15 years and want to have children. They are now parents of twins Darina and Rostislav.

“I love Bulgaria, I thank God for giving us children,” says Natalia Grischuk from Belarus, who gave birth to twins at UMBAL-Burgas.

She has been living in Bulgaria since she was 15, after meeting love in the face of Pomorie chess player, lifeguard and combat sports expert Alexi Radev. When the two met, Natalia was 38 years old, and the Pomorie was 63. The age difference initially surprised Alexi, he was already divorced. And he frankly shared that he does not plan to start a new family, especially since he might be a father.

“I advised her to think carefully

She left, but the following year she returned again and said that she had been thinking for a whole year,” Alexi Radev told “24 Chasa”.

Today, Alexi is not in the least worried about becoming a father again at this age. He already has two grown sons, but now fate has blessed him with a girl and a boy.

The twins were born in the seventh month, but they are doing well and under the care of doctors from the neonatology department at the Burgas hospital. They will stay there until they gain the necessary weight, and their loving parents will visit them every day.

Pregnant Natalya suddenly has very high blood pressure and the doctor who monitors the pregnancy gives instructions to urgently take her to UMBAL-Burgas.

“I drove like crazy, I was afraid of losing her
or the twins. Then I received a receipt for BGN 800.

for speeding,” says Alexi.

“I thank God for giving me his blessing and at such a moment of faith in him, little Darina and Rostislav appeared. Because our little Bulgaria needs children who will change the negative demographic map of our beautiful homeland,” says Alexi.

He assures that the twins’ mother is doing well and that the two are very happy. As we speak, Alexi is watching over the safety of tourists around a pool in a large hotel complex in Sunny Beach, where he is a lifeguard.

“For me, the feeling is great, youth is coming back, once in a while”, the father does not hide his delight. And jokingly adds: “If you ask me how I feel, I’ll tell you – like a vintage Rolls-Royce, which the older it gets, the more expensive, stronger and more valuable it becomes.”

Alexi Radev is one of the most experienced water rescuers at sea,

guarded the beaches of Saint Vlas and our largest seaside resort, Sunny Beach. It was in this profession that he met the beautiful Natalya. She arrives on the Sunshine Coast as a tourist, but is quickly captivated by the charming and intelligent sea guard. The love between them flares up, they get married and plan to have children, but it doesn’t work out for a long time.

He is a lifeguard with over 50 years of experience. He put on the orange swimsuit as early as 1967, right after the barracks where he was a sailor.

Despite his enviable experience on his native beaches, he is not perceived as the typical sea glarus, as in his youth he was an active athlete in aikido and judo and works during the summer, among other things.

He graduated from the sports academy with a martial arts profile, then worked as a physical education teacher and aikido coach.

He spent 11 years of his life in Germany, from where he also receives a pension

And after returning to Bulgaria, he again became a lifeguard in the summer. They seek him out because he is experienced and they can count on him.

“I feel 50, I still swim, run, and now I will run past the twins more. I turn the faucet back and turn on the button for eternal youth,” says Alexi Radev with a smile.

He is happy that the newborns are already breathing on their own. But the birth was very extreme.
“We didn’t give up, we fought for 10 years to have our child and we achieved our goal,” say the parents of the twins.

Since he is 78, Alexi is aware that many people will criticize him,

but he is definite about one thing – that he still feels strong and in condition.

“I will teach my children many things – to play chess, to swim, to be able to defend themselves, to become full-fledged citizens of Bulgaria,” says Alexi, who is one of the first karate players in Pomorie and the founder and president of the Alekhin Chess Club “, brought to us the world chess champion Anatoli Karpov.

The father is already preparing the yard of his house, in which he will make a large chess field, so that the first steps of the twins will be there.

“I am sure that other men will follow my example. I want to address them with the words: “Make children! Bulgaria needs healthy, strong, smart and intelligent girls and boys,” says the rescuer.

And he addresses a poetic message to women:

Women, don’t let it get old

Be like the lime blossom,

Although it blooms early,

It keeps its aroma for a long time!

When asked how they decided on this brave act, Natalya and her husband say: “There is nothing terrible, because God is with us. We are believers, we trust in God and we are sure that we will raise our children.”

Greetings and wishes to both parents on social networks do not stop.

A friend of Alexi wrote on Facebook:

“You and your beloved proved to Bulgaria that
true love can

to do seemingly impossible things!!! A huge part of men in the world can only envy you and learn from you! Alexi Radev – the greatest male chess player and the greatest male chess player!!!”
