The Bulgarian Olympic Committee and the Bulgarian Red Cross launched today the training of coaches under the “Sports Coach+” project. The initiative is implemented jointly by the Olympic Foundation for Refugees at the IOC and the Psychosocial Center of the International Federation of the Red Cross. At the event today at the Varna Free University ” Chernorizets Hrabar” was attended by the Secretary General of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee Belcho Goranov, Mrs. Milena Sirakova, Director of the Regional Council of the Bulgarian Red Cross – Varna and Assoc. Dr. Eleonora Tankova, Deputy Rector of Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” .
More than 30 coaches from 11 sports from Varna and the region, who work with refugees and children and youth at risk, participated in today’s training. Before that, a photo exhibition “From Paris to Paris” was opened at the University, dedicated to the upcoming Summer Olympic Games in the French capital, which was presented for the first time on June 26 at the Vasil Levski National Sports Academy.
