The Press Offices of the Ministries of National Economy and Finance, Interior, Tourism, Digital Governance and the Climate Crisis and Civil Defense issued the following announcement:
They were put up on the platform vouchers.gov.gr the last 35,000 beneficiaries of the activity “Thessaly Evros Pass 2024”, which is implemented in the framework of the collaboration of the Ministers of Tourism Olga Kefalogiannis, Digital Governance Dimitris Papastergiou, Interior Theodoris Livaniou, Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Nikos Papathanasis, and Deputy Ministers of the National Economy and Finance Christos Dimas and the Climate Crisis and Civil Defense Christos Triandopoulos.
Specifically, the result of the draw was:
- 21,000 beneficiaries of a 100 euro immaterial digital debit card for the program “Thessaly A Passport 2024» (7,000 for Stage 1 July-August 2024, 7,000 for Stage 2 September-October 2024, and 7,000 for Stage 3 November-December 2024),
- 9,000 beneficiaries of a non-material digital debit card of 150 euros for the program “Thessaly” b Passport 2024» (3,000 for Stage 1 July-August 2024, 3,000 for Stage 2 September-October 2024, and 3,000 for Stage 3 November-December 2024), and
- 5,000 beneficiaries of a non-material digital debit card of 200 euros for the program “Evros” Passport 2024» (1,000 for Stage 1 July-August 2024, 2,000 for Stage 2 September-October 2024, and 2,000 for Stage 3 November-December 2024).
Interested parties can search by their unique application identifier, as well as the last four (4) digits of their VAT number, if they are among the final beneficiaries. They also have the ability to verify if they are among the final beneficiaries by logging into their application and checking the status of their application. The status of the beneficiaries’ applications will be those that have emerged after the lottery “I won.”
- For “Phase 1: July-August 2024” beneficiaries, it is expected that the card issuance process will begin on 18/07/2024.
- For the beneficiaries “Phase 2: September – October 2024” and “Phase 3: November – December 2024”, it is expected that the process of issuing the cards will start a few days before the start of the corresponding eligible period.
After issuance, the Payment Service Provider will inform the beneficiary via SMS and email regarding the card activation process. In order to store the immaterial digital debit card, it is noted that a suitable mobile phone that supports NFC technology – contactless transactions – is required.
It is recalled that the immaterial digital cards will be able to be used for specific categories of expenses (local transport, catering and accommodation) with the aim of providing financial support to the tourism activity in the Municipal and Municipal Units of the Region of Thessaly that were affected by the September floods 2023, and in Municipal Units and Municipalities of the Evros Regional Unit in the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, which were affected by the fires in the Summer of 2023.
It has been informed that applications for the Thessaly Evros Pass 2024 activity have been submitted through the vouchers.gov.gr ended Friday, June 28 at 11:59 pm In total during the application period more than 206,000 requestsalthough they were definitely put in 186.937 applications (96.263 program-oriented applications”Thessaly A Passport 2024», 70.648 program-oriented applications”Thessaly b Passport 2024» and 20.026 program-oriented applications”Euro Passport 2024»).
Thessaly Evros Pass is being implemented by the National Network for Technological Infrastructure and Research (EDYTE SA – GRNET), a body of the Ministry of Digital Governance, and is being financed by the Public Investment Programme.
