Owners of a pair of tortilla shops in Chimalhuacan They reported that for not paying the right of way to extortionists their businesses were burned down.
The first fire occurred in the afternoon of last June 2nd in a tortilla factory located in the municipality of Chimalhuacán, in the Mexico state.
Carlos Jiménez shared on his social networks the clip of the moment when a subject threw a bomb molotov inside the premises where three people were working.

According to Jimenez, the person in charge demanded a weekly fee from the business owners in exchange for allowing him to continue selling tortillas.
Fortunately, the employees left the area and one of them returned to extinguish the flames. Only material damage was reported.
Second tortilla factory burned down in Chimalhuacán
However, the journalist shared on his X account a new case of extortion against another tortilla factory owned by the same owners as the first one affected.
This event was recorded on last June 7thbut this time the person responsible used a tire and a can full of fuel, which he sprayed around the premises.
In one part of the clip, an accomplice can be seen also throwing gasoline on the property and finally the first subject lights the tire and thus the fire started in the middle of the early Sunday morning.

Carlos Jiménez said that the extortionists left a letter demanding payment of 10 thousand pesos and that if not, they would take more serious measures.
At the time of writing, municipal and state security authorities have not commented on the matter and the identity of those responsible for the fires at tortilla factories in Chimalhuacán is unknown.
