The Minister of Education in the Government of National Unity, Musa Al-Maqrif, listened to a briefing by the Higher Committee for Secondary Education Certificate Examinations, “on the progress of the exams in their third week for the 2023-2024 academic year.
Al-Maqrif stressed the “necessity of the committee coming out with practical recommendations for the problems and difficulties that were recorded during the examination period in the final report, in order to avoid them in the coming years.”
During the meeting, the head of the Supreme Examinations Committee, “Mohammed Fadel,” presented “a summary of the committee’s work, reviewing the measures it had taken, including the suspension of a number of observers and their referral to investigation for their contribution to the cases of cheating that had been monitored.”
Fadel explained, “The cases of electronic cheating were monitored by the technical committee affiliated with the National Examinations Center.”
The committee members stressed the “necessity of combating the phenomenon of fraud in all its forms and taking deterrent measures against those caught and referring them to the relevant authorities.”
