On the 11th, MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama ‘Black Out’ (hereafter referred to as ‘Snow White’/written by Seo Joo-yeon/directed by Byun Young-joo) released a still cut of Byun Yo-han.
‘Death to Snow White’ is a crime thriller that follows a young man who becomes a murderer after being accused of being the culprit of a mysterious murder case where the body was never found, and who uncovers the truth about that day 10 years later.
In the drama, Byun Yo-han plays the role of Ko Jeong-woo, a suspect in a murder case that shook up Mucheon Village. Ko Jeong-woo is a talented student who is good at both sports and studying and is on the verge of being accepted to a prestigious medical school. He has a loyal and affectionate personality and is innocent like other teenagers his age, but after taking the college entrance exam, he drinks without telling his parents and yearns for the life of an adult.
However, the deviation he had undertaken in the hope of freedom soon became the worst shackle that held Ko Jeong-woo back. After drinking too much and blacking out, he was suddenly accused of being a brutal murderer who killed two friends. Ko Jeong-woo, who went to prison because of the events of that day that he could not remember no matter how hard he tried, sets out to find the truth from 11 years ago in order to turn his life around after falling into the gutter.
The released photos show the past years and hardships of Ko Jeong-woo, who became a horrific murderer overnight. Unlike 11 years ago, when he stood in the dock wearing a prison uniform that did not match his young face and had an expression on his face as if his world had collapsed, Ko Jeong-woo’s face after his long imprisonment has a different, rougher aura.
In particular, the sparkling eyes of Go Jeong-woo, who spreads out a piece of paper in the middle of the table and carefully examines it, make us even more curious about his thoughts. Curiosity is growing as to whether Go Jeong-woo is the murderer who killed two friends on that day in the past that has been completely erased, and what the truth is about the murder case that completely ruined his life.
Along with this, the past and present of Go Jeong-woo, who will experience a great upheaval in his life, will be portrayed with even greater immersion through Byun Yo-han’s infinite acting spectrum. Byun Yo-han’s performance is expected to maximize the character’s emotions by seamlessly expressing the 11 years of time from his innocent high school days to a 30-year-old youth enduring harsh storms.
‘Death to Snow White’, which will feature Byun Yo-han’s arduous journey to find hidden clues in his blacked-out memories, will air on August 16th.
