BOLZANO. On the death of Alex Marangon, the 25 year old bartender from Marcon (Venice) who disappeared on 30 June and whose body was found on a small island in the Piave river at Grave di Ciano on 2 July, all hypotheses are still open, including the fall from a height which, however, theautopsy carried out by forensic doctors Alberto Furlanetto and Antonello Cirnelliwould tend to exclude.

According to what Ansa has learned, in order to consider the hypothesis of death from a fall valid, it would be necessary to first explain why the victim has no injuries to the upper limbs, lower limbs or neckespecially after hitting your head so hard while falling that it shatters.
It would then be necessary to explain why a body that falls from a raised surface does not instinctively put its hands forward, since there is no injury to the palms of the hands and wrists.
To have an even more faithful picture, it is however essential to wait for the result of the toxicological investigations.
As for the investigation, yesterday too the Carabinieri of the investigative unit of Treviso and the scientific section made a inspection of the abbeywith the same prosecutor Marco Martani who reiterated that “it is a homicide, not a fall. That type of head injury is usually found only in road accidents”.
At the end of the checks, the investigators showed a cautious optimism, probably referring to the ways of reconstructing the place where the victim was thrown into the Piave: “We have made a big step forward”, they said.
