On July 4, 2024, the Chimborazo Prefecture and the Decentralized Autonomous Government (GAD) of Penipe will continue with the restoration work on the machinery to rehabilitate the Bailey bridge in the Palictahua sector.
This bridge, essential for the region’s connectivity, was severely damaged during a recent incident. Although it has been a crucial link for local residents, the severity of the damage needs continued attention from both the authorities and the private sector.
“We are committed to a rapid and effective recovery of this vital infrastructure,” said a representative of the Chimborazo Prefecture. “Our goal is to restore normality as soon as possible and ensure that the affected communities can fully recover,” he concluded.
In addition to the restoration of the Bailey Bridge, the Chimborazo Prefecture has intensified its efforts to provide direct support to families affected by this natural disaster. Actions are being coordinated to ensure that the necessary resources and aid effectively reach those who need it most in these difficult times.
Reconstruction and relief efforts will continue in the coming days as local authorities work tirelessly to mitigate the effects of this emergency and provide a path to recovery.
