At the age of four, Sergio Gjurinovic (Lima, 1986) was walking hand in hand with his parents down the street when a talent scout approached them with a proposal that would change his life: casting for commercials. Little Sergio not only passed the test, but began to write the first lines of his story related to cinema, television and theater. Currently, he plays Felipe Arosamena, a brilliant final year medical student, in the soap opera “Pituca sin lucas.” At the same time, he is preparing for a revival of “The Fool and the Shirt,” on an exciting and fun stage.
“It is the third time we have restored this work. We had a season at the end of last year in the Ricardo Palma Theatre, where we really enjoyed it and it got so much into us that we decided to do it again in the summer, in the Julieta Theatre. Now, we have the opportunity to present it in the middle of the year at the Selina, another space where the action takes place in the center and the possibility for the audience to be just five feet away from the actor, as well as being able to eat and drink during the function“, Explain Gjurinovic.
Produced by La Flecha and directed by Fito Valles, Óscar Meza, Andrea Fernández, Omar García, Andrea Alvarado and Sergio have performed in this production written by Nelson Valente. The play is based on a family reunion, where the emergence of a member who challenges social norms sparks a series of controversies and conflicts.

“The story is deep and fun at the same time; about a family that is unable to express and communicate their feelings. The main character is in charge of revealing the secrets. Humor has this enormous ability to stir things up within, to question us and confront us, and laughter is a great way to reach the audience’s mood.”, he declares.
In “The Crazy Man and the Shirt,” Gjurinovic Pacheco plays Mariano, María Pía’s boyfriend and Beto’s brother-in-law. Mariano faces the challenge of meeting his partner’s family, as they both want to formalize their relationship.
“Despite the fact that my character feels uncomfortable in an environment so different from his own, he tries to make a good impression. The most important thing for him, which can also play an antagonistic role, is not to judge, but to understand his motivations and actions.“, says the actor.

This season starts this August 6 and runs every Tuesday and Wednesday in August, at 8:00 pm, at the Selina in Miraflores.
Passion for art
After advertising, at the age of 12, through casting, Sergio joined the children’s program “Chiquitoons” (1998), together with Juan Carlos Rey de Castro, Alejandra Dreyfus, Norma Del Águila Ríos and Andrea Reta.
“It was a very fun experience, with directors and producers who took great care of us, who respected our schedules and our pre-adolescent stage. It was a very safe space, every time I talk to Juan Carlos Rey de Castro, we remember how lucky we were to be in an environment where we were protected. They were happy and we could have fun,” recalls the actor.
Throughout his career, his ability to portray a wide range of characters and his ability to connect with the public led him to be part of important national productions, among them the film “Dioses” by Josué Méndez, and the series “This is life. ”, “At the bottom there is a room”, “LaLola”, “The return of Lucas”, “Back to the neighborhood”, “Maricucha”, “Luz de Luna”, among others. Currently he is part of “Pituca sin lucas” in Latina.
“In ‘Pituca…’ I play Felipe, a very positive man with a great vocation for service, which led him to study medicine. He is very much in love with his girlfriend, who he has been with for many years. I love this character and I’m enjoying it a lot, especially because the atmosphere of the show is very light and a real family is created“, highlights.
Finally, he ensures that every project he does and every performance not only strengthens, but inspires his passion for acting, a passion he has had in his heart since childhood.
“When I discovered this power that stories have to mobilize, move and entertain, I decided it was where I wanted to be.”, he emphasizes.
