“It seems to me that it is necessary, first of all, to ask the prime minister,” A. Dulkys told reporters in the Seimas, noting that he felt the support of the country’s leader during his tenure.
“And today we heard not only in the president’s speech, but also from others who spoke that the most important thing in politics is work and results. I am very pleased that during this term, the President has signed all health reform initiatives without exception. Apparently, he would have supported even more, but maybe we didn’t guess everything. But as far as the president is concerned, consensus has been found on all issues,” he assured.
ELTA reminds that the president G. Nausėda, who won the election, repeated during the campaign that the composition of the Government should change after he is re-elected as president. He mentioned this during the first round of elections.
G. Nausėda said in April that if K. Navickas was not able to answer the inconvenient questions addressed to him, then the head of the country may not confirm him in the Government, after the Cabinet of Ministers returns its powers after the presidential elections.
As provided by law, the Government returns its powers when the President is elected. Powers are considered returned when the Prime Minister delivers a written statement to the Head of State. In turn, the president assigns her to perform her duties until new powers of the Seimas are obtained and a new Cabinet of Ministers is formed.
