On July 10, a NATO summit in Washington issued a declaration stating that China is a challenge to the interests, security and values of the Alliance, describing the country as a “supporter of the Russian-Ukrainian military conflict” and an institutional challenge to the transatlantic security, says Radio China.

However, it shows that instead of considering its own position, NATO is shifting the blame to China, which has called for a peaceful resolution of the issue, and is once again showing itself as a legacy of the Cold War.

After the start of the Russian-Ukrainian military conflict, the US and Western countries, on the one hand, have continuously added fuel to the fire, providing military aid to Ukraine, and on the other hand, imposing sanctions against Moscow.

At the end of May, NATO said it would continue to look for a way to provide Ukraine with military aid worth 40 billion euros a year. At the current summit, it was announced that in the next few months, Ukraine will receive five Patriot systems and dozens of tactical anti-aircraft systems. According to some media, this means that NATO plans to prolong the Russian-Ukrainian military conflict for an unknown amount of time.

To shirk its responsibilities, NATO is trying to shift the blame for the war to China, claiming that it is providing military aid to Russia. Some Western politicians even say that the key to the end of the Russian-Ukrainian military conflict is in China, but they do not show any evidence in this direction.

China is not the creator of the Ukrainian crisis, nor is it an interested party in it. China’s position of a peaceful political solution has received the approval of the international community. Since the beginning of the conflict, China has not provided any side with lethal weapons. And it is clear to any objective observer who instigated the war, who is prolonging it, and who is trying to profit from it. Instead of blaming and shifting blame, Washington and its manipulated NATO should work to defuse the situation with real action.
