As a Philosopher, a scout of society, president of the network of Guinean journalists for social protection, president of the club of mixed-race people for the prevention of conflicts and the maintenance of peace since 2011, in a distinct position and detached from my status as a journalist critical commentator of public governance, I briefly launch this appeal to the president of the transition.
Mr. President of the Transition, there is still time for you to listen to reason. There is still time for you to pacify the country even if it is not visibly on fire.
The illustrious and late Kèlèfa Sall, former president of the constitutional court, told Professor Alpha CONDÉ at the time when he was sworn in for his second term, to refrain from any adventure towards paths forbidden in democracy. Listening to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Morissanda KOUYATÉ recently at the Tribune de l’OIF, this transition is working towards a return to democratic order. What is better for a democratic transition than respect for democratic rules?
Toumba DIAKITÉ, accused in the September 28 stadium massacre case in 2009, in prison for several years, formerly very feared and dreaded in the army, said a few days ago at the bar of Judge Tounkara’s court, that you current leaders, must find in this trial, all the lessons, all the teachings to help you avoid the same traps, the same temptations ohh how risky! Don’t they say that history always repeats itself for those who do not learn the lessons of the past.
Power in Africa, with its ingredients of charlatan courtiers, gives you a feeling of invulnerability, as if you have received a divine mission to remake the world all by yourself, as a solitary vigilante. But you are just a man, who has the great privilege of being at the top of the pyramid of public responsibilities.
Even if you took the risk of going to your death on September 5, 2021, to change what had to be necessarily changed in your eyes 👀, do not give the same reason to so many Guineans because you have nothing more to lose, to go to a collective death for which you can be held responsible before history. The water seems calm, but it is murky deep down. So there is still time to avoid the worst.
As I was saying recently, when a sect of agitated illuminati whisper in the ears of the leader, the city will always be agitated. It is better then for the leader to have wise men, philosophers who whisper in his ears so that the city is calm so that he, the leader, gains sleep at night, and can sleep peacefully.
A word to the wise….
