The Bank of Mexico (Banxico) announced a major change in currencies 1, 2 and 5 pesos; here we inform you about these new modifications.

This is by decree of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP), which was published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF) last Thursday, July 11, 2024.

It should be remembered that the Board of Governors of the Bank of Mexico had already put on the table since the December 15, 2023, the proposal of change the material with which coins of this value are made.
