After nearly 9 years of management and financing by Ivan Vassilev, Loko (Sf) officially has a new owner as of Friday.

At a special press conference, it was announced that the previous member of the board of directors of the “railway” club, Veselin Stoyanov, has the shares, and this has gone through a notary procedure.

Vassilev has always emphasized that his successor is the only one who during all these years has seriously helped him support the “red and blacks”.

According to “24 Chasa” information, Stoyanov participated in the formation of the budget for the season with amounts reaching half a million BGN.

For his part, the new boss emphasized that Vassilev will remain in the management of the club, most likely in the role that Stoyanov was in until now, and will continue to help.

“The main direction of my business is ammunition.

The company was founded 20 years ago. Another direction is explosive materials, we work on quarries, we carry out transport of dangerous materials, as well as trade and production of chemical materials, and we also have security activities with the necessary license”, Stoyanov explained what he does and accordingly, from where will come a large part of the funds for financing “Loco”.

Stoyanov stated that the budget for the new season has already been formed, and in the coming days the “railway players” will have a new general sponsor. This will be a bookmaker.

Vasilev also emphasized that he is handing over the club in a good financial condition with no debts.

“There were 3 options before me. One was to sell it and get back part of the invested funds, but then it would turn into “Beroe” 2. The second – to stay, and the third – to close it. I haven’t even thought about the last one. If I stayed, I probably wouldn’t last, and for all I did, I got nothing but nonsense about me and my family. Being an owner or president was never an end in itself for me. I even stayed at the post a lot. But I have been working on the idea 24 hours a day.

I gave my money and health in Lokomotiv, but I don’t regret it. I am a locomotive engineer and so are my sons. They convinced me to get started”, Vassilev shared at parting.

In 2015, after the bankruptcy of the “railway workers”, the former striker of “Loko” and Valentin Nikolov created a new company. The former took 90 percent of the shares.

Vassilev made a number of improvements to the stadium, and after his return to the elite, lighting was also installed.

Unlike the bankrupt CSKA, “Loko” returned to the elite of our football, starting from the 4th division.

In the last year, Vasilev has been in conflict with the fans, who for some reason think that he can command.
