Omar Sr. is one of the future players of Hapoel Tel Aviv. Senior told about the season he is going through and the big dreams.
“It’s hard to be in the seniors and then move on to the youth and vice versa,” Senior said, “at the same time, it should not ruin our winning streak. We want to win the championship with the youth team and can do it.”
“It’s not easy to play in the youth in games that are not broadcast and then suddenly plays in the Sami Ofer Stadium in front of 30,000 people,” Senior continued, “We are in a historic season, we have a goal to win the championship and make history, and we want to do that.”
What position do you feel most comfortable on the field?
“I feel most comfortable on the field on the right wing, I will play where the coach tells me, but there I feel I am the best. At Hapoel Tel Aviv, I go through a lot with movement without a ball and the breaks in the wing. I am taught a lot of things here, so I can get better. “
What has changed this season that suddenly your blossom has come and you are realizing the potential?
“Boxa, Michael Zandberg and the whole team work with me personally on a lot of things. I think with their help I get better, and here you see results.”
What effect does Kobe Medicine have on you?
“Obviously Kobe’s influence. When you come to alumni you have to get confidence, and he gives it to me. I feel in alumni that I can do actions just like I do in youth, and that’s thanks to his credit.”
Did you sign a long-term contract with Hapoel Tel Aviv, is it due to the connection to the club?
“I am very connected to the club. I moved here after growing up in Maccabi Tel Aviv. “It is not easy to cross the road, I feel excellent at Hapoel Tel Aviv and with a lot of confidence. They gave me a warm home, I made a smart move when I left Maccabi Tel Aviv for Hapoel Tel Aviv. I see my future here and I am happy to be red.”
