The farmers’ organization will hold a meeting with the farmers of Shambhu and Khanauri border on July 14, in which the future strategy will be discussed. In fact, after the order to open the Shambhu border, the farmers’ organizations can decide to march to Delhi with many demands including MSP. Haryana convener of MSP Purchase Guarantee Law Front and state president of BKU Lokshakti Jagbir Ghasola has called the High Court’s decision a victory for the farmers.
6 months ago farmers were stopped at Shambhu border
Jagbir Ghasola said that due to the dictatorship of the Haryana government, the farmers of Punjab were stopped at Shambhu border about 6 months ago. Due to this, the farmers remained adamant on Shambhu border with their demands. He said that the High Court, while hearing the PIL, has given the decision to open the border. With the opening of Shambhu border, the common people will not face any problem in commuting.
A meeting will be held on Shambhu-Khanauri border on July 14
The farmer leader said that on July 14, there will be a meeting of farmer organizations with the farmers of Shambhu and Khanauri border and in this a decision can also be taken to march to Delhi with many demands including MSP. Farmer organizations described the court’s decision as a victory for the farmers and said that the outline of the upcoming movement will also be prepared in the meeting. If necessary, farmers from all over the country will join the movement and will not rest until their demands are met. He said that the leaders of the farmer organizations of Haryana will coordinate with the farmer leaders of Punjab and other states. Along with this, farmers will demand the fulfillment of their demands by putting pressure on the government through the movement.
The United Kisan Morcha (SKM) today announced that it will resume the movement for the legal guarantee of Minimum Support Price (MSP) and other pending demands including farm loan waiver and will submit a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi. SKM, which led the farmers’ movement of the year 2020-21, made this announcement a day after its general assembly meeting. This time the organization may not march to Delhi. SKM includes different farmers’ organizations. The leaders of the organization said that time will be sought between July 16 and 18 to meet the Prime Minister, the Leader of the Opposition and the members of Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha and submit a memorandum related to the demands of the farmers to them.
