This hospital center aims to facilitate citizens’ access to high-quality care, in particular with the generalization of compulsory health insurance (AMO).
In a statement on the occasion of a press visit to the Center, the provincial delegate of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection in Al Hoceima, Mohamed El Yeznasni, stressed that the opening of this modern health structure demonstrates the special attention that HM King Mohammed VI has paid, since his accession to the Throne, to the social dimension of citizens in the province of Al Hoceima, through the promotion of the health and social protection system, by developing hospital infrastructure and by strengthening and diversifying basic health services, while bringing them closer to citizens.
He said that this health establishment, which mobilized an investment of 609 million dirhams (MDH), including 30 MDH for studies and technical control, 409 MDH for works and 170 MDH for equipment, is of great importance, since it will contribute significantly to improving the quality of the various medical services provided to citizens.
The official recalled that this establishment will provide its services to more than 500,000 inhabitants and will contribute to ensuring an integrated healthcare offer at the level of the province of Al Hoceima and the region, stressing that the hospital is equipped with cutting-edge equipment, including MRI.
He specified that the center includes all the hospital and technical services required for this type of establishment, stressing that a multidisciplinary medical team will be responsible for providing the different health services provided by the hospital.
For his part, the head of the administrative and financial affairs department of the Mohammed VI Provincial Hospital Center, Mohamed Tasmart, affirmed that this hospital jewel is an asset for Al Hoceima, noting that this establishment has specialties and a surgical center equipped with the latest generation equipment, as well as high-quality hospital services, like those of university hospitals.
He noted that the operation of gradual transfer of patients from the Mohammed V provincial hospital to the Mohammed VI provincial hospital center began on Wednesday, stressing that there will be no shortage of nursing staff, since the Ministry of Health and Social Protection has worked, since 2022, to strengthen human resources to meet the needs in terms of specialties.
