Akshay Kumar is considered one of the most earning and bankable stars of Bollywood. He used to give 3-4 hit films in a year. But for some time, all his films have been continuously flopping. Seeing this, some film critics had advised Akshay to choose films carefully and do selective films. Now Akshay has reacted to this and also told what advice Amitabh Bachchan had given him. Amitabh himself had gone through a big phase of failure in his career, and now Akshay is going through such a time. Akshay’s last release ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ also flopped badly at the box office. Akshay Kumar said in a recent interview that if he does only two films in a year, then it is not a guarantee that both of them will be hits. In an interview given to ‘Galta Plus’, Akshay told that he worked for 12 days in the film OMG 2, even though he had only a supporting role. Similarly, he gave 45 days for the shoot of ‘Jolly LLB 3’. Akshay said that he cannot impose himself on filmmakers and producers for more than necessary time.

‘I worked for 80 days, Big B said- keep working son’

Akshay said, ‘I recently worked for 80 days in my film ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’. What did you achieve? I have seen people who work selectively and their films also flop. In our industry, it happens that if you give flop films, people stop giving you work. Look at Mr. Bachchan. He himself told me that Akshay, keep working son. Don’t leave work. I learned this from him. Calculation is wrong, manipulation is wrong. Honesty is right, creativity is right. Trusting your luck is right. This is what I have learned.’

After Covid, Akshay Kumar was seen in a supporting role in OMG 2 and in the lead role in ‘Sooryavanshi’. These were the only two films of his that were successful. After this, ‘Raksha Bandhan’, ‘Ram Setu’, ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, ‘Selfie’, ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ and ‘Bachchan Pandey’ flopped back to back. Now he is seen in ‘Sarfira’, which is the Hindi remake of ‘Soorarai Pottru’.
