“The opinion is planted that there is a Peevski-Dogan conflict. Many times Mr. Peevski and all of us explain that there is no such conflict. There is a conflict between Peevski and a group of people who really do not accept the approach, the way, the speed of work and the goals , which DPS has set for itself with the new beginning. This choice does not stand, it is artificially planted”. This was stated by the deputy chairman of the DPS Iskra Mihailova in “Panorama”.

Mihailova said she chose to work with Delyan Peevski back in February, at the DPS national conference, when the new leadership defined its “new beginning and tasks.”

“The new beginning means a new approach and a new way of working. Even then, I made a decision and stated that I would end my work in the EP after the end of the mandate, return to Bulgaria and work with Delyan Peevski”.

Dogan wants the resignation not only of Peevski, but also of a large part of his team, Mihailova pointed out and expressed bewilderment as to why her name did not appear among those mentioned. “That’s probably an oversight.”

“Whenever I have worked with Dogan, I have been completely frank and tried to contribute. In this case, I am of the position that we can contribute, and blind implementation takes the party backwards.”

Iskra Mihailova pointed out that a conflict is currently brewing among DPS voters, which is already growing into something much more dangerous.

“A neighbor starts arguing with a neighbor – who are you with? Yesterday’s partners – Bulgarians and Bulgarian Turks or Pomacs come into conflict, there are written things on Facebook that the Bulgarians and Pomacs wanted to steal the party from the Turks,” said Iskra Mihailova.

When asked if Delyan Peevski will make a party, she said: “Don’t ask me about things that are very far away. We are working to overcome the tendencies of stratification in DPS”.

When asked whether Peevski and the deputies supporting him would leave the DPS in the event of a change of leadership, Mihailova commented:

“This is everyone’s free will. This is not about Peevski – the question is what does the DPS do from now on and what are people’s expectations of us. A conflict between two people is something completely different.”
