On Wednesday (10.Jul.24), the marketer Michel Winter gave a statement to the Civil Police, accusing Leonardo Avalanche, the national president of PRTB and the main political ally of Pablo Marçal of an alleged connection with the “high command” of the PCC that at threatened to kill him during the conversation with the authorities.
According to the complaint, the threat occurred after a meeting in which the marketer accused the leader of having “sold” 27 party directories, including the one in São Paulo, which was negotiated directly with Pablo Marçal, pre- candidate for mayor of the capital. Winter also claimed that he had proof that he received “values” from Avalanche to vote for them in the BTCP national by-election, which led to the rise of the current president. The record of the statement was filed at the 4th Police Station in Minas Gerais.
In 2022, Michel Winter, who is also affiliated with the BTCP, worked on Pablo Marçal’s preliminary campaign for the Presidency, taking part in meetings with the businessman and accompanying him in conversations with authorities and journalists in Brazil. However, he broke with Marçal and Avalanche this year, due to differences over the leadership of the acronym.
Winter reported that Leonardo Alves Araújo asked for their cell phones during the meeting and, in possession of them, destroyed the aforementioned evidence. He reported that the aforementioned evidence had previously been saved on other media.
During the testimony, Winter specifically mentioned the PCC, but asked the authorities to adapt this part to avoid retaliation from the faction.
Leonardo Alves de Araújo would have made the threat shortly after the aforementioned meeting, where he would have said that if Winter used the evidence to try to remove him from the BTCP presidency, he would kill himself, as well as his children, mother and all their relatives, through members of a criminal organization, confronting their superiors.
The aforementioned meeting with Avalanche took place on April 26 of this year, in the Royal Tulip hotel, in Brasília. Winter said he was able to prove the encounter through video.
When contacted, Marçal and Avalanche did not respond to calls. Previously, the leader even described Michel Winter as a “charlatan” in a statement to the column.
