Through his social networks, the Renap announced that it will have its Offices closed on July 12, 2024 as stipulated in the Collective Agreement on Working Conditions. Likewise, information was provided on the date on which the Second DPI Night of the month. So, watch out! Here are the details.

Details of the second DPI Night of July 2024

He National Registry of Persons ―Renap― announced the realization of its Second DPI Night in July 2024a extended day attention that will take place on Wednesday, July 17. During this day, offices will be open until 8:00 p.m. in several locations nationwide, providing an additional opportunity for those Guatemalans who cannot carry out their procedures during regular business hours.

The DPI Night is designed to provide services to people who need to renew or replace their Personal Identification Document (DPI), capture data, deliver the DPI, as well as the issuance of certifications, registry and late registrations. In addition, legal advice will be offered on management of certificates, notarizations, legalizations or denials, and notarial support to people with problems when carrying out some registry procedures.

This special event will also benefit those who were planning to attend on July 12, when the Renap offices will be closed. The DPI Night will provide an opportunity for these people to complete their paperwork.

Offices in 13 departments will be open until 8:00 p.m.

During the second DPI Night, several DPI offices will be open until 8:00 p.m. at various locations across the country. Participating offices include:

Guatemala

  • RENAP Headquarters: Roosevelt Road 13-46, zone 7, municipality of Guatemala.
  • Office zone 9: 11 street 5-59 zone 9, municipality of Guatemala.
  • San Juan Sacatepequez: 6th Avenue 10-61, Zone 4, San Juan Sacatepéquez.
  • Metronorte: CA-9 North (Atlantic Route) 10-44, Metronorte Shopping Center, local 306, Zone 17, municipality of Guatemala.
  • New Villa: 1st Street 3-87, Zone 5, Pradera Express Villa Nueva Shopping Center.

High Verapaz

  • Coban: 6th street 11-16 zone 4, municipality of Cobán.
  • Saint Peter Carcha: 2nd Street, 12-38, Zone 5, Chibujbu Neighborhood, San Pedro Carchá municipality.

Quetzaltenango

  • CIM: 0 street, 37-172 lot 27, Tulipanes neighborhood, zone 8, municipality of Quetzaltenango.
  • Quetzaltenango Office: 12 Avenue 1-45 additional zone 1, Quetzaltenango.

Other locations

  • The extended working day will also be implemented in the offices of the departmental capital of Chimaltenango, Escuintla, Huehuetenango and the CIM of Río Hondo, Zacapa.

RENAP: offices closed on July 12, 2024

The institution announced that its offices nationwide will remain closed on Friday, July 12, in compliance with article 21, paragraph g of the Collective Agreement on Working Conditions. However, the exclusive window for the registration of deaths, located at 11 Calle 5-59, zona 9 of Guatemala City, will continue to be open 24 hours a day.

For those who need to do so, the National Registry of Persons offers digital alternatives through its electronic services portal eportal.renap.gob.gt and the mobile application RENAP SE. On these platforms, Guatemalans can request the replacement of their DPI, certifications with legalized signatures, and the issuance of certifications from anywhere.
