During the morning of this Thursday, July 11, a burst inside the Hotel “Las Brisas” in AcapulcoGuerrero.
According to initial reports, demolition work was being carried out on a wall inside the hotel. However, during the demolition, part of the concrete fell onto an LP gas pipe.

This caused a small explosion that caused material damage but no injuries.
Firefighters and state Civil Protection personnel arrived at the scene, providing first aid and taking extreme precautionary measures.

“To avoid a worse situation, the decision was made to close part of the pipeline and close the gas intake to the stationary tanks with a capacity of 3,400 liters each. This emergency service was carried out in a coordinated manner with personnel from the Mexican Army and staff from the Las Brisas hotel,” said the Secretariat for Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection of Guerrero.
For its part, the Brisas Hotel stated that after the explosion, “it acted in accordance with the protocols designated for this eventuality” and that the facility is operating normally.
