  • Twelve days before the opening ceremony, the Olympic flame arrived in the capital on Sunday July 14.
  • Thierry Henry will be the first torchbearer on the Champs-Élysées, at 1 pm. The torch would later pass into the hands of many other famous and anonymous bearers.
