With this third place, Uruguay achieves its second best campaign of the 21st century in the Copa América, surpassed only by the title obtained in 2011. In addition, the 11 goals scored by the Celeste in this edition represent their best figure since 2004, when they scored 12 goals.

Luis Suárez, in his 19th match for Uruguay in the Copa América, once again proved his worth. Since his debut in the 2011 edition, where he was crowned champion, he has scored eight goals in four different editions (2011, 2019, 2021 and 2024), joining a select group of Uruguayans who have achieved this feat.

The CONMEBOL Copa América final will be played this Sunday at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, where Argentina and Colombia will face each other at 8:00 p.m. (local time).
