Health officials at the Nasser Medical Complex, which until recently was the largest operating hospital in Gaza, said today that the hospital is no longer able to function, Reuters and BTA reported.
Doctors said they were overwhelmed and unable to provide medical care to the large number of casualties due to the intensity of the Israeli military offensive and the acute shortage of medical supplies.
Meanwhile, Palestinian health officials said at least 17 Palestinians were killed in an Israeli attack on a prayer hall in a camp for displaced people on a beach west of Gaza City.
Two people were killed in an Israeli drone strike in southern Lebanon, the official Lebanese news agency NNA reported.
The two were found dead in a car after it was hit by a missile fired from a drone, the agency added.
One of the dead was identified as Musa Suleiman, a member of the Amal Shiite group, which is allied with the Iranian-backed Lebanese movement Hezbollah.
Israel’s military said it struck “two Hezbollah terrorists” who were preparing to launch projectiles from southern Lebanon into Israel.
