Nepal,

Russia has amassed about 10 million troops on its border with Ukraine in protest of former Soviet Union Ukraine joining NATO.

The United States and European countries have repeatedly warned that Russia could infiltrate Ukraine at any time. Russia’s series of actions continue to escalate tensions.

Already countries including India are advising their compatriots living in Ukraine to leave.

In this context, as the threat of Russian invasion of Ukraine grows, the Nepalese government is urging the repatriation of their compatriots in Ukraine.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Nepal: –

Nepalese people living in Ukraine are asked to return using commercial flights available to others unless they have to stay there in view of the current situation there.

The Nepalese people should completely postpone their plan to go to Ukraine if necessary. More than 38 Nepalese citizens are in contact with the Nepalese Embassy in Berlin. They are all safe.

Thus it is said.
