Bhopal: It is often heard that government school teachers prefer to take coaching instead of studying in schools. Now there is bad news for such teachers. They will never be selected for the National Award. New eligibility criteria have been set for the National Award for teachers working in government schools of Madhya Pradesh. Teachers who teach tuition and have less than 10 years of teaching experience will not be eligible for the National Award.
With the change in the selection rules, retired teachers, contract teachers, Shiksha Mitras, educational officers, inspectors and teachers working in training institutes will also not be considered for the national award. The School Education Department of Madhya Pradesh has set these criteria for the national award.
This will be the selection process
According to the new criteria, teachers of schools affiliated to Madhya Pradesh Board have been included in it. The state level committee will select the teachers for the national award. First, they will be selected through the district level committee. After this, the state level committee will select them. Every applicant will have to update online the record material and creative activities and reports, photographs, audio video etc. of the excellent and innovative work done by them in the field of education.
Hence a new rule was made
The district level selection committee will send three recommendations to the state selection committee on the online portal by July 25. At the same time, 6 recommendations to the state selection committee will be sent online to the Government of India portal for the attention of the National Selection Committee by August 4. Actually, these rules have been made because 3 years ago the names of such teachers were sent from the state. Who had not even taught in school. After this, the government was criticized a lot.

These qualifications have to be fulfilled. Many different criteria have been set for the selection of teachers. Under this, in the last 5 years, the teacher should have published research papers, articles or books at national and international level. The evaluation of the last 3 years shows that the teacher is coming to school regularly without any complaint. The certificate of whether the teacher has participated in any in-service training etc. has to be uploaded in the portal. Only those teachers will be able to apply for the National Teacher Award.
