Weather – Tsatraphyllias: A continuous heat wave that may last until the 25th of July

by time news

Well-known meteorologist Giorgos Tsatraphyllias talks about a “continuous heat wave” in his weather post today.

At a time when the country is suffering from a strong heat “wave”, with the mercury reaching 40 degrees Celsius, the meteorologist reports that the heat could last until the end of the month. At the same time, he emphasizes that in addition to its characteristic long distance, there will also be massive flare-ups.

In fact, within the next week, it is not excluded that the temperatures in Etoloakarnania and Peloponnese will exceed 42 – 43 degrees Celsius. “The continuous heat affecting our country may last until July 24-25. During this period, the prevailing temperatures will be slightly above or slightly below 40 degrees in the usual continental areas far from the Sea”, says Giorgos Tsatrafillias typically in his post.

“However, as well as the duration of the heatwaves we are experiencing, there will also be extreme outbreaks. It looks like one of them will take place on both days Wednesday-Thursday 17-18/7 and the mercury more than 42-43 degrees. Which areas? Etoloakarnania and Peloponnese. It is also possible that, shortly before the heat wave ends, we will have a new stimulus,” he says.

PS: Do not under any circumstances underestimate the phenomenon. This too shall pass!”, he concludes.
