The 2025 season will be one competition for Paraná
Back in the First Division of the State, Paraná Clube will only have this competition on the calendar in the 2025 season, between the months of January and April. To return to the national competition in 2026, in Série D or Copa do Brasil, Tricolor will have to guarantee a good position in the competition for the next Paranaense.
For example, three clubs from Paraná competed in this year’s Serie D: Cascavel (2nd place in Paranaense 2023), Cianorte (6th place in Paranaense 2023) and Maringá (4th place in Paranaense 2023).
From Series A to rock bottom in five years
The last great joy for Paranista fans came in 2017, with access to Serie A of the Brazilian Championship after ten seasons in Serie B. However, the return to the Brasileirão was a big disappointment.
In 2018, Paraná fell to Serie B. In 2020/2021 the relegation came to Serie C. In 2021, the relegation to Serie D. Then, in 2022, the fall to the Paraná Division happened. In the same season, the club failed to qualify for Serie D and finished without a national division.

If the last five seasons were one of successive decline, Paraná has now taken the first step towards breathing again. So, in the most optimistic scenario for the fans, Tricolor would only return to Série A of the Brasileirão in 2029.
To do this, Paraná would have to achieve a good position in the Paranaense 2025 to compete in Serie D in 2026, guarantee access to Serie C in 2027, play in Serie B in 2028 and return to the Brasileirão long expected to achieve.
