That evening in Marcheno there were other workers, as well as Alex and Giacomo Bozzoli, the sons of Adelio, Mario’s brother. Six days later one of the employees leaves: Giuseppe Ghirardini, a worker in the foundry’s large furnace, calls a friend to cancel a hunting trip due to bad weather and gets into the car, heading towards Valcamonica. After the disappearance of Mario, investigations began, hypothesizing a murder almost immediately, despite the fact that the company was arrested only a week later.
