jpnn.comJAKARTA – Businessman and senior Golkar politician Jusuf Hamka or Babah Alun visited former Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud Md in South Jakarta, Saturday (13/7) at around 10.00 WIB.
Babah Alun came wearing a green shirt, and was accompanied by several figures wearing black clothes.
To the media crew, the man known as the toll boss came to the location to socialize and did not discuss the regional election issue with Mahfud.
“Silaturahmi,” he said when met by media crew in Jakarta, Saturday.
Babah Alun’s name has recently been in the political world after Golkar General Chair Airlangga Hartarto received a friendly visit from PSI General Chair Kaesang Pangarep in Jakarta, Thursday (11/7).
Airlangga said that Golkar was preparing Babah Alun to become the 2024 Jakarta Deputy Governor Candidate to accompany Kaesang.
“I have prepared Golkar cadres who have extensive experience in infrastructure, namely Babah Alun,” said the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Thursday.
According to Airlangga, Babah Alun is the right choice for Jakarta because the big challenge in the province with the Monas icon is infrastructure, especially traffic jams.
Senior Golkar politician Jusuf Hamka (Babah Alun) met with Mahfud Md after he was named as Kaesang Pangarep’s running mate in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election.
