“The cultural-historical complex “Historical Park” of Ivelin Mihailov from the “Velichie” party has won five times in different categories at the Annual Awards, which are organized by the Ministry of Tourism. I became interested in this case study. “Historical Park” I have never visited it. It is not a subject in tourism and according to the Tourism Act. Because it is not registered in the register of tourist attractions.”
This was stated in the program “Why, Mr. Minister?” on bTV by the acting Minister of Tourism Evtim Miloshev and specified:
“It is not registered as a place of accommodation or as a place of eating, which is mandatory. That is, we can consider it only as a construction object. It is a fact that the Ministry of Tourism has been awarding this site. A commission from the ministry makes the nominations. And this is an occasion to think about the meaning of these awards. I personally do not share the concept of such type of awards. Already this week, if there is a time horizon, I will appoint a commission to rethink this type of awards. In my opinion, the ministry should distinguish events, objects, people, circumstances in a different way.”
In his words, tourism is an exceptional sector that provides unique opportunities for Bulgaria:

The acting minister also commented on the attempted assassination of Donald Trump:
“We condemn the terrorist and violent act against Donald Trump. But I was thinking about how many external geopolitical threats there are to our country. Terrorist acts and in leading democracies, wars in close proximity to our country. And if this is not a sign, let us unite. Let’s take a look. Let us turn to ourselves and think about our own security, our nation and our people. We need to stop dealing with the trivialities of our day and think a little more globally about the meaning of our country.”
“On November 10, 1989, when communism fell, I was 21 years old. And I was of the generation that first publicly said “down with Article One of the Constitution.” It was about the Constitution of the People’s Republic of Bulgaria and Article 1, according to which the BKP was the only allowed party. For all people, it was the brightest sign of democracy. There should be freedom for people, for parties, for political expression. Now, 35 years later, we say that political parties are terrible and they are burying us. What do we want? When will we know that it is all in us as citizens? We are a civil society. Everyone says this, but no one does anything in this direction,” said Evtim Miloshev.
He called on the citizens of Bulgaria to vote and take responsibility for their actions in a democratic society.
“We have a long-standing relationship with Rosen Zhelyazkov. We had a conversation with him that gave me the perspective to accept the offer to be a minister. At this stage in my life, I would like to have meaning in what I do. And the meaning is determined by the team you play with and the goals and ambitions you set for yourself. There is a chance for a regular cabinet and this chance should be seized,” the minister also said.
