The Paraguayan Football Association (APF) Minor Disciplinary Court finally annulled the second match between Afemec and Olimpia, which had meant the qualification of the Lambreño team to the grand final of the FIFA Futsal Premium League.

Following the cancellation of the aforementioned match on July 6, 2024, which ended 0-0, a result that sealed Afemec’s qualification, the APF FIFA Futsal Division scheduled the new match for this Tuesday, July 16, at the Olympic Committee.

Everything was ready for Cerro Porteño and Afemec to play the first final of the Premium League, but Olimpia did not give up, filed a protest and demanded a new match due to the disallowance of a controversial goal in the second game.

Towards the end of the first half, Olimpia scored a goal, but apparently it was after the clock had been reset, according to the referees.

Initially, the referees allowed Alex Lopez’s goal, but after a final review, they decided that the conversion was made after the clock had already reached zero.

The match finally ended 0-0 and with a 3-2 aggregate, Afemec moved on to the grand final alongside Cerro Porteño.
