At the heart of the pavilion of the Italian Cultural Institute of Rabat, a multicultural space awaits visitors, inviting them to immerse themselves in the very essence of Italian culture, adds the same source, noting that literary meetings between Italian and Moroccan writers will be organized in order to create privileged moments of exchange and sharing.
This edition promises to be exceptional, with a variety of captivating events that will mark this unique encounter between Italian and Moroccan cultures, it is emphasized.
“We are delighted to present a diverse program at the International Book and Publishing Fair. Our goal is to provide an immersive platform to share the richness of Italian culture with Moroccan audiences, while fostering intercultural dialogue,” said the director of the Italian Cultural Institute of Rabat, Carmela Callea, quoted in the press release.
Ms. Callea, who coordinates the general programming of the Italian participation in SIEL, explained that the Italian pavilion, which will be characterized by a creative vision born from the meeting with the president of Stupor Mundi APS, Danilo Audiello, and the director and digital artist, Antonio Minelli, will allow visitors to discover the beauty and depth of Italy’s cultural heritage.
The pavilion’s program includes a plethora of activities, conferences and shows highlighting different aspects of Italian culture. In addition to the pavilion at SIEL, a rich program will be deployed in several spaces in Rabat for all audiences who love Italian culture, regardless of their age.
Highlights of the programme include an “Immersive Art Inauguration” (a unique visual and sensory experience that will immerse visitors in Italian contemporary art), “Dante in Puglia” (an exploration of Dante Alighieri’s work in the picturesque landscapes of Puglia, through captivating artistic performances), “Italian Lesson” (an opportunity to learn the Italian language with teachers from the Italian Cultural Institute of Rabat) and “Cooking show with Master Chef Peppe Zullo” (a culinary demonstration highlighting the richness and diversity of Italian cuisine).
The organizers also promise literary encounters, with fascinating exchanges with renowned authors (including Paolo Nespoli, Laura Pederzoli, Hassan Najmi, Karima Moual and Lorenza Foschini, Antonio Caprarica, Beppe Convertini, Cosimo Damiano Damato and Alberto Luca Recchi), as well as concerts and theatrical performances, including musical and theatrical performances in homage to emblematic figures of Italian culture, such as Giacomo Puccini and Alda Merini.
